~Clothes fly slowly through the air as Bellatrix sorts through the items, some returning to their place in her closet as others fold themselves neatly into her bag. A bag which she will be taking to her aunts for two, possibly three short days to allow her body time to recover from her potion. In her hand she holds a large wine glass, filled with some scotch she found stored away by her husband in the study.
She glances towards the clock on the wall in curiosity, knowing that he should be home soon - and what a fun conversation was to be taking place when he did arrive. He was already so very thrilled to know that the child was possibly not his, but now to discover that he would never have his own child - she anticipates much violence and yelling. Two things she was rather fond of, to be honest.~

Quoted from Wikipedia: "In the 2009 movie Sherlock Holmes, based on a story by Lionel Wigram and images by John Watkiss[39], which will be directed by Guy Ritchie, the role of Holmes is performed by Robert Downey Jr., in a reinterpretation more focused in the character's martial abilities."
That makes me laugh; my first reaction to that line was "what martial abilities?" I know Sherlock can fight rather well but IDK it sounds like building a movie on such a little part of a character...
I also saw the theatrical release poster (here) and thought Jude Law was neat as Watson. That pose and expression are great imho XD

Anyone having display problems with DeviantArt? Images won't load, whole pages will appear as just texts and take an awfully long time to connect. I've got fast internet connection, no problems with any of the other sites I visit. It's been about two weeks now and it's getting on my nerves.
Oh, and I just saw this cute little animated film. It will be on for a limited time on the web so watch it while you can.

I have to basically ReTweet this comment from
kittehkat, because it's just so damn epic and I need to remember it forever and ever. She asked people to comment in her journal, and she'd tell us which food we reminded her of and why. Here's her answer to me:
So I have to respond to this by saying that... apple tarte tatin is MY FAVOURITE DESSERT. My Mum first made it about 8 years ago and HOMFG. SRSLEH. BEST. DESSERT. EVAH. I am HONOURED to be apple tarte tatin!! :D
Also... APPLES!!!!!!!!!!!! XDDD Ty so much, bb!! <333 You put a lot of thought into that, LOL.
So yes >.> Watching Star Trek DS9 atm. MY GOD, KLINGONS ARE BORING...... UGH.......
And I'm currently waiting on THREE parcels from the USA. If they don't get here by Tuesday I'm going to have to forward my mail for two weeks so I can pick them up. Hopefully they'll get here by Christmas because ONE OF THEM HAS THREE CHRISTMAS PRESENT I BOUGHT FOR PEOPLE IN IT. GAH. I HATE THE MAIL.
tellemonstar, one of them is your package btw. Hasn't got here yet :( Here's hoping it gets here tomorrow!! :D
Peace,
Rotae
Most definitely an apple tarte tatin. Because you live in Upsidedownland, get it? :D It's impossible for me to separate you from apples, anyways -- like, when people say they love a flavor or something, I cement that in my mind so I can try to guess what their palette is like and what to recommend/avoid recommending to them, and we've had a few conversations about apple varieties, too.
Anyway, I feel like this is definitely you for its gooey, sweet, shareable yumminess. You get along easily with people and you're always willing to jump in and help, which I feel is kind of the role of the apple -- get kids to eat fruit that doesn't suck, apple pie is a hero in American dessertland, etc. Definitely not a tartlet, though, and a tatin because of how I think you'd prioritize this: APPLES FIRST, then we'll deal with the pastry bits, which also speaks of your organization skillz. And is there anything more aesthetically appealing than carmelized fruits?

~In a strange way that also happens to be a bit disturbing, Sirius is almost looking forward to his few days away. There has been so much tension recently between himself and Remus, he is hoping that a few days distance will be good for them.
He Floo's to his childhood home feeling grumpy, and more than a little pent up. There had been no significant fooling around since the photo spread was released, his usually rather steady diet of sex sorely missed.
He's also looking forward to some time with Regulus, and hopes his mother has some insight on a gift for Scarlett.
He steps out into the drawing room and listens for any sounds of conversation or activity but hears nothing.~
Hello? Anybody here?
~He takes up his bag and heads up to his old room.~

- Geoffrey of Monmouth, The History of the Kings of Britain (ca. 1136)

Myes. I intended to post an extra long update, but here I am posting an extra short one. Blame the snow. It has been snowing here for the past week, and it has been so cold that the stuff has actually stayed. It has been a long time since we last had so much snow; it's quite amazing. The snow inspired me to do a large picture - an illustration for Gawain and the Green Knight - and that has absorbed quite a bit of time. The worst of it is: I ended up with pretty inks, but I rather despair of the colouring. I'm simply not a good enough painter to get it right -_-. I'll just end up ruining it.
ACK.
Once I've got over that, I'll do more comic. For now: two pages. On the upside, they feature Morgana :).
Concrit = welcome!
What went before
King Uther is waging war on two fronts and finds that things do not go according to plan. His general Folant is killed by the Irish, and Uther himself is sorely wounded during a fight against the Saxon forces. As rumours about his death start to spread, King Uriens of Gorre hurries to Caer Lleon to propose marriage to Queen Ygraine. Instead of punishing Uriens for his presumption, Uther decides to propose a deal.

I got my second 500 out of 600 score at archery on Thursday! Shame I couldn't have done it during the league match on Tuesday, in which I did rubbish, but such is life, I suppose...
But last night was my archery club Christmas Dinner. Although I do have lingering concerns about the fact that I was sat with one chap who had a cold on my right, another chap who reckoned he was starting a cold opposite me and one chap on my left who said he'd been sneezed on by his cold-riddled accountant the day before (I smell my annual cold for the Christmas holidays on the breeze after that....), I nevertheless had a lovely time. The food was very nice and everyone on my table was mighty silly and having lots of fun that revolved mostly around the ongoing efforts to drop cracker toys in one chap's big glass of cider (I think the final total was one flicky ball and the flicky ball net, three or four mini throwing rings and their target stand, a keyring, a domino and a rolled up paper hat (I confess that one was me. Someone handed it to me as I had a cleaner shot than he did and I couldn't help myself. And I was one of the few who was sober too... ;p). But we did have plenty of time for this for one simple reason. It was slowest service IN THE WORLD.
Bear in mind, we'd pre-booked. They knew when we'd be there and what everyone was having. We all arrived at 7pm and sat down and they came and checked just after how those having steak wanted them down and which soup the soup drinkers wanted. They then went away and we settled down to await food.
The starters arrived at 8.20pm.
The main course arrived at 9:15pm.
The desert arrived at 10:20pm.
Fine, they were busy. But an hour per course? Almost an hour and a half without even bread rolls before the food even started? That's just daft, to be honest. Plus they put oranges in the fruit salad of the lady who stated clearly she was allergic to them and it had to be sent back twice and the steaks for the steak eaters weren't much bigger than a post-it note. As far as we could tell, they simply served everybody else first and did us when they found a moment. Considering the efforts made to pre-book, that was rather rude of them really. But the food was lovely when it eventually arrived and much silliness insued in the meantime so nobody got cross about it and we all had fun. :)
I just have to have lots of vitamin C now...;p
